A trustworthy CBD brand will always publish independent lab results. This document, called a certificate of analysis (COA), is the best way to verify what is actually in the product you are buying.
1. Check the lab is independent
The report should come from a third-party laboratory, ideally ISO 17025 accredited, not from the brand itself.
2. Match the batch number
Every bottle or device carries a batch number. It should match the number on the report so you know the results apply to your product.
3. Look at the cannabinoid profile
The report lists CBD content in milligrams, along with other cannabinoids. Compare the total CBD to the amount on the label. THC should be below the federal limit of 0.3% delta-9 THC; we aim for below 0.01%.
4. Look for contaminant screening
A thorough report also covers heavy metals, pesticides and residual solvents. Look for a clear pass on each.
You can browse our results on the Lab Results page. If you cannot find a report for a product, ask the brand. A good one will be happy to share it.
